Over the years, I have begun discovering foods that excite me. As a result, I have tried numerous restaurants throughout Calgary. However, while I enjoy experimenting, I often visit the same 5-10 restaurants repeatedly. In today’s blog, I compiled a list of my top 5 favorite restaurants within Calgary.
1. Pure Modern Asian Kitchen & Bar

Serving Asian fusion, this restaurant is one of my favorites! Located in downtown Calgary, this restaurant has great ambiance and wonderful service! Not only does Pure serve exceptional food, it recreates classics with a twist. When I go, I normally order the Vietnamese iced coffee and Crispy Chicken Noodle Soup (Pho) with a side of chicken wings.
2. Chianti Café

With large portions and a casual, homey interior, Chianti serves amazing Italian food! This restaurant has countless options to satisfy any of your cravings. Furthermore, the staff are extremely accommodating and understanding, making the overall experience even better. I always experiment and order a new dish each time I go, however, I have never once been disappointed!
3. White Elephant Thai Cuisine & Sport Bar
Location: inside Airports Travellers Inn, 1808 19 St NE
Price: $$
White Elephant serves delicious and authentic Thai food. With great portion sizes and reasonable prices, this restaurant is my go-to when I am in the mood for Thai. When we go, my family and I usually order the Thai Red Curry with rice along with a few other dishes. Regardless, this is the perfect restaurant if you are in the mood for authentic and tasty Thai food!
4. Indian Flavors

Serving amazing Indian food, this restaurant is one of my favorites! Like many of the restaurants featured in this blog, Indian Flavors has great portion sizes with delicious food. All the dishes that I have tried are filling, creamy and seasoned to perfection. In addition, the restaurant has a beautiful interior that features photos from all over India. Lastly, the staff are extremely understanding and friendly!
5. Namo Cafe | Bistro Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch

The last restaurant on this list is one that will not disappoint! With a variety of options for individuals of all ages, this family-owned restaurant serves delicious dishes with a twist. Serving food with locally sourced ingredients, all the dishes have great portion sizes and taste delicious. With a cozy ambiance and amazing staff members, this restaurant is a must try!
