Saturday August 3rd was the annual Calgary Color Me Rad event at the WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park. It was a day to transform and add some sparkle into everyone’s lives. Volunteering there, I had the opportunity to see the color stations set up around the park to splash runners. The actual “color” is actually cornstarch that is safe and gluten-free, as well as the liquid color.
The day was very exciting and fun, and there were also a couple of local booths there set up by the Daylodge. There were over 22000 participants signed up spread out over 16 waves throughout the day. In addition, there was also music and food in the parking lot. It was a lot of fun for me, and I would definitely come back again next year! The 2014 Color Me Rad Calgary has been set for June 28, so make sure you check out their website for information as that date approaches!
