Sugar is an instant way to satisfy your cravings, whether you’ve come back from school, woke up from a nap, or are hungry. But making an actual cake just takes to long and walking to a bakery is too much work. With these convenient, easy and fun 5 minute desserts, you’ll never need to work hard to put sweets into your stomach.
1. Vanilla Mug Cake
1. Mix:
- 4 Tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 Tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 Tablespoon butter, softened
- 4 Tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoonvanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Into a large mug.
2. Microwave for 90 seconds, periodically stopping and checking your cake.
3. Optional: Add 2 tbsp Nutella or molten chocolate to make it chocolate flavoured.
2. Berry Soft Serve
1. Combine 4 cups of frozen berries and 1 cup of any type of milk into your food processor or blender.
2. Blend/process until smooth and creamy. Adjust ingredients to your liking.
3. Place in a freezer for 2 hours, occasionally stirring.
4. Optional: Add 1/2 tbsp of powdered stevia, honey or maple syrup.
3. Cherry Cobler
1. Mix 3/4 cup chopped strawberries with 1/4 cup of powdered sugar.
2. In a different bowl, mix 1/3 cup flour, 1 tbsp white sugar, and 1/2 tbsp baking powder.
3. Add 1 tbsp butter and stir in 2 tbsp milk.
4. Add the finished product to the top of the strawberries.
5. Microwave for a bit more than 90 seconds, periodically stopping and checking your dish.
4. Chocolate Pudding
1. Whisk 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa, 3 tbsp corn starch and a pinch of salt in a medium saucepan.
2. Whisk in 2 1/4 cups milk and bring to a simmer.
3. Cook for about 90 seconds until thick and bubbly before removing from heat.
4. Add 2 tbsp vanilla and 1 tbsp butter.
5. Chill in refrigerator.
5. Chocolate Chip Cookies
1. Mix 1 tbsp melted butter, 2 tbsp granulated sugar, 1/4 tsp vanilla extract, 1 egg yolk, 1 tbsp Nutella, and 1/4 cup flour until doughy.
2. Mix in chocolate chips.
3. Microwave for about 50 seconds, periodically stopping and checking your dish. Let cool before eating.
