Tutti Frutti Review!

Yaaay for Frozen Yogurt!

Ever since the sun has been coming out more often, these frozen yogurt machines just seems to be popping out everywhere!

Speaking of which, let’s give a warm welcoming to the new Tutti Frutti located on 130 Ave!

If you didn’t know, this saturday (May 11) was their Grand Opening, and I had the honor to be one the first guests to try it out!

So what’s so different about Tutti Frutti? I mean Qoola, Menchies, even the old school Yogen Fruz, all sell frozen yogurt. Why Tutti Frutti?

Well here’s top 5 reasons why:

5. Too Many Flavours!

Tutti Frutti has 16 different flavours for you to choose, from cream lovers to sorbet lovers, from birthday cake to blueberries, from lychee to taro, and soy to non-soy. I was so overwhelmed by the variety that I had to try every single one! Most importantly, to those of you that are lactose-intolerant and can’t have ice cream or frozen yogurt. But not to fret, it’s Tutti Frutti to the rescue! Not only do they provide nutritional guides to indicate which flavours are cream based, but also they have two yummy flavours, made from soy beans, dedicated to lactose-intolerant victims! Here’s the flavours. Don’t be too amazed! 🙂

4. Too many toppings!

Aside from flavours, Tutti Frutti offers over 30 different toppings. Usually, my goto toppings are mochi and cheesecake bites, but sadly, the cheesecake bites weren’t delivered yet, so I took that as a sign to try something new. So what did I put? Boba! Yes, I know I’m super lame for not trying it until then, but wow, were they every tasty. Before I tried boba, I thought they were like tapioca pearls, so kinda squishy and chewy, but was I wrong. The boba pops in your mouth the second you bite in to them. They were so good! Also, the brownie bites were the best I’ve had. It was crunchy on the outside, yet soft on the inside. Whether your a skors lover or a boba lover, you’ll be a Tutti Frutti Lover. 😉

3. It’s Healthy!

Frozen Yogurt is super healthy, low fat and low calorie, so you won’t feel guilty for that second cup. In addition, frozen yogurt contains live bacteria that helps with digestion and prevents colon cancer!

2. It’s fun!

I mean who doesn’t like swirling your own frozen yogurt and decorating it with all sorts of toppings! Who knows, maybe in the next few years there’s gonna be a Frozen Yogurt art master out there, maybe even a frozen yogurt decorating contest, so better train yourself now then later!

1. What time is it? Summer Time!

If you didn’t notice, Summer is just around the corner! With these high 20’s in Calgary these days, everyone needs some cool refreshments! So why not get some super healthy snack that just so happens to have a variety of flavours and toppings, and is fun to make/eat? Join the movement!
