Two games have been played out and Chicago has triumphed in both of them; however, not by a lot.
Game 1 was played in Chicago and it was a wild one. The Hawks ended up winning 6-5, but any game with 11 goals is going to be crazy. The Flyers had the lead at a few points throughout the game, but failed to hold on to it, and the Blackhawks came back and took the game.
Game 2 was a game much tighter defensively, with Leighton of the Flyers and Niemi of the Hawks both playing fantastic. Chicago scored two goals in a span of 30 seconds in the second period, and while Philly came back with a goal in the third period and had a shot of making it 2-2, Niemi made a great save to stop it.
Although the Hawks triumphed in the first two games, the Flyers are now on home turf and ready to redeem themselves. The next game is Wednesday night at 6 pm, in Philly. It’s sure to be a good one!
GO CHICAGO!
