Jason Silva blends breath-taking cinematography with deep philosophical discussions to create Shots of Awe. These short videos whisk us away to the rapturous supernovas of stars all the way to a single blade of grass. In the image above, the eye is filled with galaxies, embodying the boundless brilliance that exists within us and also far, far away.
I will share my three personal favourites, but certainly each of his videos is a masterpiece in of itself.

What now?
We all need a shot of awe from time-to-time, to remind us of how amazing our world is. In our increasingly busy lives, we can often forget the small joys and memories that makes it precious. We all have the potential to be great if we put our minds to what we love – perhaps all we need is that push, that inspiration. All of us will eventually reach the same destination, so what’s left is to enjoy the journey. Never forget your sense of wonder and imagination because those are a splash of color in our black and white lives.
