It is vital to have a good start to the day with a nutritional breakfast that gives you enough energy for the day. It’s so easy to quickly run out the door without eating anything but this leads to an unfocused day of school with a rumbling stomach. Here are some quick and easy breakfast ideas when you’re running late:
1. Peanut Butter and Banana Toast
1. Start with toasting two slices of bread
2. Spread peanut butter on both slices of toast
3. Take a banana and cut the banana into slices
4. Places slices on the toast
5. Optional: Top with honey or granola for more added flavor or texture
2. Peanut butter and jam waffle
1. Toast two waffles
2. Put peanut butter on one waffle and jam on the other
3. Put both waffles together
3. Tomato and Cucumber toast
1. Take a slice of bread and spread ricotta cheese on top of it
2. Put slices of tomato and cucumber on top
4. Oatmeal
1. Add 1/2 cup of oats in a microwaveable bowl
2. Add 1/2 cup of water or milk
3. Microwave for 2 minutes
4.Top with slices of apples, bananas, berries or nuts
5. Egg Toast
1. Start with toasting a slice of bread
2. In a frying pan, crack an egg and cook until desired (This can be scrambled or sunny side up depending on what you like)
3. Place the egg on top of the toast and sprinkle with pepper
6. Parfait
1. Take a jar (use this if you are making this the night before) or a cup
2. Put a layer of granola or berries
3. Put a layer of yogurt on top
4. Repeat the last two steps until you have reached your desired amount
