You know when you laugh for a few minutes early in the day, and then for the rest of the day you’re in a wonderful mood? Well, that happened to me today, and I wanted to know why.
It’s not only the fact that you have someone funny with you that puts you in a great mood. Laughing is actually very good for your health and has many benefits!
Laughing:
- Lowers blood pressure
- Strengthens cardiovascular functions
- Reduces stress hormones
- Improves circulation
- Increases muscle flexing
- Gives oxygen to the body by boosting the respiratory system
- Boosts immune function by raising levels of infection-fighting T-cells and proteins which produce disease-destroying antibodies
- Triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers
- Just makes you feel great
So, there you have it. A laugh a day keeps the doctor away!!!
