You know when you laugh for a few minutes early in the day, and then for the rest of the day you’re in a wonderful mood? Well, that happened to me today, and I wanted to know why.

It’s not only the fact that you have someone funny with you that puts you in a great mood. Laughing is actually very good for your health and has many benefits!

Laughing:

  • Lowers blood pressure
  • Strengthens cardiovascular functions
  • Reduces stress hormones
  • Improves circulation
  • Increases muscle flexing
  • Gives oxygen to the body by boosting the respiratory system
  • Boosts immune function by raising levels of infection-fighting T-cells and proteins which produce disease-destroying antibodies
  • Triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers
  • Just makes you feel great

So, there you have it. A laugh a day keeps the doctor away!!!
