Get ready for the Digital Film Festival

For one week only at select theaters, Cineplex is hosting The Great Digital Film Festival, where cult, sci-fi, action, superhero and other classic films will be showing specially on the big screen in clear digital format. Not only do you get a chance to see some great movies in theatres again, but admission is only $6 per film, with discounts if you great-digital-film-festival-2014-210X155_edited-1watch more than one film, along with Scene points if you are a Scene member! Some notable movies playing this week include: Akira, Monty Python and The Holy Grail, Planet of the Apes (original 1968 ver.), Tron, The Avengers, Batman and Ghost in the Shell. Any two, three or four films is $5.50 admission, and 5 or more films is only $5.25 per person. On Feb. 1, 2014, the festival hosts a day-long superhero movie marathon, and on Feb. 2 they have a retro sci-fi day. All the movies will be playing at the Scotiabank Theatre Chinook in Calgary. This is a great opportunity for you to watch some classic films at a cheap price,so be sure to catch them while they’re still there!
