I was able to speak with “Alley Burger Mike” about this interestingly named truck and was quite delighted to hear that they try to get everything local and natural. Their truck was local and they even found a Calgarian graffiti artist to design their truck! Below is the video that Eat St. created, followed by my own review of the food truck! Enjoy.

Taste 8/10 – The Original Alley Burger was quite scrumptious–if you just want a decently priced burger, it’s the way to go. The small (one patty) was already filling, but if you wanted to shell out $3 more, then you can gorge yourself with two! However, I wasn’t too impressed with their bigger option called The Whole Truck. Perhaps it was the toppings I chose (the basic veggies), but it didn’t really speak out to my taste buds. Their hand-cut fries were quite yummy, though! You’ve got to eat them fast since they get soggy quick, but they have tons of spices to load up on.
Appearance 7/10 – Burgers aren’t always very pretty, but I was not impressed when I got The Whole Truck. It felt like it was falling apart and I could not get myself to finish it up. The “wow” factor is its gigantic size, but for me that was more of a turn off than anything.
Service 10/10 – They were stellar and organized! You write what you want on a piece of paper and they get your name and everything. The wait was pretty decent, but try to get there early so you don’t have to wait for more than 20 minutes!
Value 8/10 – I found $5 for a burger with cheese curds to be super reasonable! I don’t think I’d go for the regular-sized burgers though as it is a little pricier and I probably wouldn’t be able to finish it. Just make sure that you don’t gorge yourself!
Total 8/10 – It was a pretty decent experience, but I’d definitely go for the Alley Burger since the price and the taste was worth it. Their poutine looked quite filling, though, so if you love fries then I do suggest you try it.
