What will the year of 2014 signify? In the technology realm, many revolutionaries believe that 2014 will be the year of change in consumer technologies. The international Consumer Electronics Show (CES), occurring in Las Vegas, Nevada, this month, is a compilation of various exhibitors presenting their innovative technologies to consumers for the first time. CES is a huge tradeshow with over 3,200 exhibitors from over 150 countries, ranging from manufacturers to suppliers of technology hardware.

With devices such as visual 3D headphones (the Vuzix V720 video headphones), a bracelet that monitors how long you have been outside in the sun (Netatmo’s Sun tracking “June” bracelet) and a car with laser beams for headlights (Audi Sport Quattro), the year 2014 has started with a bang… and this is only the beginning. Check out more cool gadgets released at CES 2014 here.

“The first eight to 10 years I went [to CES], you’d see the same technologies wrapped up a little bit differently. Now, you’re seeing very relevant and significant improvements in technology.”– Tony Sandhu, VP, Merchandising for Future Shop

The tradeshow has four days worth of exciting innovation. Consumers can look forward to many more developments in the market of technology. 2014 is indefinitely the year where humanity embarks upon the age of technological breakthroughs. Change is a beautiful thing.

Technology Editor Hello World! It is quite difficult to summarize a human's character with only a few words. But here I go; I am a movie buff, a sushi fanatic, Korean, diligent, a student, an animal lover (especially dogs), a Taekwondo athlete, and amiable (within my own head) ...well I guess that was not too exhausting. I enjoy writing about everything. But more recently, I have discovered a passion to report on the best weekly finds in the realm of science. I sincerely hope many of you will stumble upon something to your pleasure, while reading my blogs.
