Must Have Apps

In a world of technology and hand held machines that seem to have slowly dominated our lives, one of the things that makes electronic devices appeal so much to me is our ability to customize and “app-ify” them. Here are some of the apps that I have been loving:

1. Sleep Cycle: This all-awesome app provides a unique and different approach to alarm clocks. Simply place your phone next to your bed at nighttime, and Sleep Cycle will monitor your sleep habits. It will wake you using a wake up phase, going off only when it senses the moment you are most awake. Overall, this is an app that has really taken advantage of the pre-built  in compartments on a phone, transforming the routine of waking up in to a less violent one.

2. InstaStory: No, this is not another add-on app programmed for Instagram, despite the misleading title. If you are a total Photoshop  junkie, this app is designed to allow the user simple and fun add-ons to the photo of their choice. Even the most amateur users will find this app extremely easy to use. InstaStory is extremely effective and simple- you can add to your photos stickers, borders, and text- all of which are free. The best part? This app doesn’t have random ads floating about the page, so you will never find yourself accidentally clicking on some virus infected link that may possibly have the potential to freeze/disfigure/destroy your electronic device.

3. LogosQuiz/ IconPopQuiz: I don’t know about you, but there’s something about these trivia games that is just so addicting. These guessing games are super fun and test your knowledge of the logos and icons of well known (and not so well known) establishments and entertainment types. It’s another good excuse for spending hours on your electronic device, learning and playing games for “educational purposes” (or so we believe).
