If you like Korean dramas then you must have seen Winter Sonata. It was such a touching love story and because of it I went to the film scene where they shot Winter Sonata.
There is one scene where the female and male main characters were sitting on a bicycle and riding through a road in the wood. This was shot in Nami Island and in order to get there you have to take lin 3,7 or 9 subway to the Express Bus Terminal then you can take bus to Nami Island which is about 3 hours drive. Because it’s an island you have to take a ship as well but its luckily a short ride. The entrance plus the ship is about 8,000 won and the bus cost is about 15,000 won. The reason for the long drive is because Nami Island is not in Seoul instead it’s in the province beside Seoul called Chuncheon which is a beautiful place full of Korean culture.
Nami Island is famous because of Winter Sonata, so many business men are using the drama to earn big money. Since there is the scene of riding bicycles, there for many couples went there just to get the experience same as the characters in the drama.
The picture I took of the scene is the top one and the bottom one is from the drama. The birches are very tall and it looked peaceful. Imagine walking slowly in this kind of environment and is just feels romantic.
Many couples have came here to leave their mark of love.
After Nami Island I went to Chuncheon city for lunch and the most famous food there is their Chicken hot pot. It is best if you eat this with 2 or 3 people because it is really big and you will be very very full if you eat all by yourself.
