On Oct. 31, the World Expo finally closed in Shanghai, China. The World Expo is a place for the world to join together and share our culture and technologies. Over the 184 days, there were about 70 million people from all over the world participating in this “Better city, better life” themed event.
For the past 150 years, many ideas, technology and culture began in the World Expo. Cars, televisions, lights, elevators and other major inventions all made their first appearance at the Expo. For China, a developing country, to host the 2010 World Expo meant to exchange culture and cooperate with other countries to build a world platform. It is to further strengthen the relationship with the world, and an important opportunity to learn.
In the 2010 Expo, many countries brought their own uniqueness to the stage. And for those who didn’t have a chance to go (like me) here is a chance to view some of them.
First is the China Pavilion
Let’s take a look at the inside
This is called “low carbon life”. Can you see the vegetable inside?
This is the Korea Pavilion
Jewelries from Afghanistan Pavilion
Here are two Polish holding fans that had “Thank you Shanghai” and “Expo is great” writing on it.
This is the world’s biggest sushi boat made by Norway Pavilion. En… sushi and Norway, why? I don’t know, but it looks amazing.
This is in the Australia Pavilion
Last but not least, it’s the Canada Pavilion
The World Expo 2010 has ended, and I’m sure a lot of people are going to miss it. But no matter if we have the World Expo or not, the whole world is still a family and we depend on each other for making Earth a better place.
