4 Books you NEED to Read Before you Die

All of these books on this list are here for a reason. They will change you. They aren’t cheesy inspirational books, they are just books written by regular people to entertain teens. But the way they are written and the message behind it all will change you and your opinions for life.  There is literally no way to describe the feeling you get after reading these books, and that feeling stays with you. Not just for a week after reading the book, but for life. I have nothing but praise to these authors and I admire all of them and I wish they knew how much they’ve all changed me and how they inspired me to start writing.

1. Saving June by Hannah Harrington: This book is one of my favourite books and by far my favourite on this list. Hannah has a way of writing that plays with all of your emotions and you don’t even know she’s doing it until you’ve finished the book. She has raw talent in creating a book that leaves you speechless . The plot is great too, simple and just the perfect mix of romance into it. Not to forget the amazing songs mentioned throughout.

2. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher: I’m sure many of you have already read this book because of it’s popularity. But just read it again and truly read everything and reflect on it. The story strikes controversy like suicide topics always do, but the great writing and meaning behind it triumph all the controversy.

3. Looking for Alaska by John Green: I am going to start off by saying that John Green is hands down my favourite author. This story has so many great characters, they are all just wallflowers that make no sense whatsoever and somehow fit perfectly together in humour and seriousness. Again the story strikes controversy with all of the teen smoking usage, but it’s not relevant to the true story. Alaska Young is amazing, I can’t even describe how much she changes me, although she is fictional she carries such an oddness and knowledge that you can’t even begin to comprehend by the time the book ends. This book is truly something.

4. Greif Girl by Erin Vincent: This book is different than any of the other books. It is sort of an autobiography written by an amazing women. She was just 13 when she lost both of her parents in a car crash. The truth in her words and how raw it is just changes you. She lived through it and is happily married with child now. She overcame the worst thing that could happen to anyone and is proud to inspire kids everywhere. And I applaud her for it. She didn’t write this book for sympathy she wrote it to help young people.

Fair Warning: MOST OF THESE BOOKS ARE INAPPROPRIATE FOR READERS YOUNGER THAN 13! THE PLOTS MAY ALSO STRIKE CONTROVERSY AND LEAD TO OFFENDING YOU. PLEASE GET A PARENTS PERMISSION BEFORE READING THESE BOOKS IF YOU ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 13!
