It’s another fun weekend in Calgary and whoa, the month of February coming to an end. If you are in the mood for a relaxing weekend out in Calgary or just want to learn something new, take a look at some of these events. They are definitely for you!


 

YYC HOT CHOCOLATE FEST: February 27-28th

The fourth annual YYC Hot Chocolate Fest is being held to support the Calgary Meals on Wheels organization. The festival celebrates the creativity of local eateries that are competing to create Calgary’s best hot chocolate. So, participating coffee shops, restaurants, chocolatiers, and hotels will feature signature hot chocolate drinks.

Time: 10:00am-9:00pm

West Coast Swing Calgary: February 27th – March 1st

West Coast Swing is a smooth and cool style of dancing that allows for improvisation and can be danced to rock, blues, pop, hip-hop, Motown, disco, funk and swing music.

Time: 8:30 – 11:30p.m

Price: $10/person and Valid Student ID – Free

Man Equals Man: February 27th – 28th

Set in British Colonial India, “Man Equals Man” presents the forcible transformation of a civilian, Galy Gay, into the perfect soldier. Using Kiplingesque imagery, Brecht explores identity as something that can be dismantled and reassembled like a machine in a parable that the critic Walter Kerr credited with a “curious foreshadowing of the art of brainwashing.”
