My top five favourite YouTube channels

YouTube is amazing. I think many of us can agree on that simple statement. Like all stories, my YouTube “obsession” has a beginning. I was over at a friends house and we were chilling as friends do, and she suddenly burst out in excitement and said something along the lines of, “Guess what I found on the Internet!” She went on the computer and pulled up YouTube. At that point in time, my knowledge and experience with that website consisted of music videos with lyrics fleeting across the screen in comic sans and people falling down. I thought that was pretty darn good already, so when she pulled up videos of people intentionally being funny, and doing skits, and just being downright hilarious I may or may not have spent hours after on that site until the point where the logo was burnt unto my retinas.

Throughout the past five years or so (wow, that’s a long time), I have discovered people on YouTube with similar humour, people with incredible talent, and people who just want to watch the world learn. There’s so many things that can be found on the site that’s impossible to say to yourself, “I’ll just be on for five minutes,” and actually mean it. It’s tough for me to choose favorites because a) I change my  mind every week and b) my mentality is: “There are so many cool things I could recommend. How could I ever choose??” So for the sake of simplicity, I will choose at random five YouTube channels that I am currently subscribed to. Ready? Ok, here we go!

1. Alltime10s

If you’re not subscribed to this channel by now, you need to get on that. They do top ten-type videos on topics such as Curious Theories about Aliens and Dumbest 911 Calls.

5. MadeYewLook

Holy cow, the talent is incomprehensible. This talented self-taught make-up artist does videos and showcases her creative work. Need a Halloween costume idea? Check out this video she posted. It’s a trailer of a lot of the creepy looks she does.
