HOLY YES! FREE ART LESSONS? Oh yeah, I will be there. And you should be there too!
So Calgary has this amazing artist named Tom Bagley (check out his site, he’s so pro at what he does, this is definitely something to see —>http://www.tom-bagley.com/index.html). He’s an illustrator, musician, and North Mount Pleasant Arts Centre instructor. He contributes regularly to FFWD and Swerve. He also makes awesome gig posters. In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of making fun and exciting promotional posters. No experience is necessary, so just come out and have fun! 🙂
To top it off, if you really like art and you like to volunteer, Laurie Yearwood (403-221-3682) can introduce you to some volunteer experience in the art environment.

This event is April 27, 2012 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. It’s a free event for teens ages 13-17. But remember, this event requires you to register by emailing youthweek@youthcentral.com. The first 14 people get dibs.
