The Youth Animation Project is a program for community action through animation involving 16 participants between the ages of 15-30. For 20 weeks, participants work as a team to create animations on issues related to youth, social action and the environment. The Youth Animation Project welcomes all youth, including immigrant youth, Aboriginal youth, street-involved youth and others who face barriers to employment.
TO APPLY, YOU MUST BE:
– Interested in art
– Between the ages of 15 and 30
– Not attending school full-time
– Legally entitled to work in Canada
– Not in receipt of an Employment Insurance claim in the last three years
– Experiencing barriers to employment
– A good team player, focused and open to tackling issues that bridge youth, social action and the environment
PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE:
– Full-time minimum wage employment & completion bonus
– Experience in animation and video production
– Consultations in career development
