This past weekend marked the official start to fall, which means fall fashion, pumpkin spiced everything, new TV seasons, and the beautiful colours of the changing leaves. One of the first memories I have of fall in Canada is walking along the Bow River with my family. Burgundy and golden leaves showered on us, as we remarked the glories of one of the first signs that fall is coming. Ever since then, observing the changing leaves has been one of my favourite autumnal activities. I love to stroll along the river side, walking my dog and seeing him frolic in the leaves. Calgary has endured harsh winter conditions for a brief period in the beginning of September. But this has not deterred the leaves from transforming in the latter of this month.
You do not have to travel too far to revel in autumn’s bliss. These are some photos of my walk this afternoon:
This is such a lovely post, Rebecca! Gorgeous photos and a really touching message to accompany them. The beauty of fall never fails to astound me and this post does such a great job of capturing that!
