Best thing of the week: Harlem Shake

This week has been a bummer with school, but I found this thing that’s solved all my problems. 30 seconds of happiness for each video.

So Gangnam Style was a big thing, but it’s so 2012 now. There’s this new dance meme called the Harlem Shake. The song that everyone does it to is by Baauer. The Harlem Shake was popular in the 80s and SMOSH talks about it on their site, but history is boring, so let’s get to the videos.
So how it goes is there’s usually a masked person dancing nonchalantly, and when the beat drops, everything just goes asdshjsfsdkfj;’qs. It’s amusing. Short and sweet. Cuts right to the chase.
It looks like fun, therefore you and your friends should make a video. Just make sure that when you film, everyone around you knows what you’re doing. There’s only so much strangeness the world can handle also…bylaws and stuff.

Youth Central’s Harlem Shake featuring Grant the Cow

Film it with your best girlfriends.

Or film it with your dad. Father-son bonding time.

You can Harlem Shake it virtually.

There’s so much going on…I don’t even.

Could casual Fridays at the office get even more casual?

The army does it. No shame.
