As we all know, on November 8 typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippines, killing as many as 4,000 and leaving millions displaced from homes and without food or water. Aid has slowly been coming in, however damage complications in rural areas are complicating recovery. Although the typhoon has passed, the worst is yet to be over as many survivors are still lacking their basic needs and many who are dead have yet to be identified, along with many still missing. Below, I selected a few photographs of the aftermath in the Philippines since the typhoon nearly two weeks ago.

After the typhoon, people sought out the church as a way of solace and refuge along with comfort, turning to God in their time of need as this woman is doing.

For many, the road to recovery will be a long one, however the Filipino spirit holds strong in the midst of disaster.
