TV Review: Ringer

Although there is often little time to watch television given my busy life as a student (to which I’m sure many of you can relate), I made sure that Ringer was on my list for this fall.

Starring Sarah Michelle Gellar (remember Buffy the Vampire Slayer?), Ringer is a brand-new thriller/drama about a recovering addict who goes on the run after witnessing a mob murder and avoids being found by pretending to be her apparently-dead twin sister. From then on, she realizes that her sister may have a life that is even more dangerous than hers. If it sounds confusing, it’s because it is. I was quite bemused myself while watching, but in my quest to find out what was going on I couldn’t look away.

With an intriguingly mysterious plot, a glamorous setting and a fair bit of action, Ringer seems to be the perfect addition to my fall TV lineup, and it should be the perfect addition to yours, too!

Ringer is on Fridays at 8 p.m. (Calgary time) on Global. You can also watch episodes online!

  1. It draws you in! You have to keep watching just for the sake of curbing your curiosity about what’s going on!
