Mohamed Babu, an Indian scientist, came up with a luminous experiment when his wife observed ants turning white in their kitchen after drinking spilled milk. From this, Babu decided to feed coloured sugar drops to ants in his garden and guess what happened? Rainbow ants!
Babu explains, “As the ant’s abdomen is semi-transparent, the ants gain the colours as they sip the liquid.”
Pretty cool, eh?
