Name of Food: Cotton Candy Cupcakes
Where to Buy: Food Fair, next to the Rotary Dream House (previous location was a Bubble Tea stand)
Cost: $5.50
What makes it worthwhile: There’s cotton candy on a cupcake! That’s about as good as it gets. I was thoroughly disappointed, as the cupcake that I got did not look similar to the picture at all! The cotton candy was just a huge piece on top of really easy-to-make icing (nothing like Crave‘s) and the cake itself was vanilla-flavored and slightly stale. I even had it in the morning, so I wonder if they make it fresh at all. Perhaps this location wasn’t the official cotton candy cupcake stand…but even so, avoid this if you can.
Carrie, the cupcake that you received did not look like the picture, because the picture was stolen from my website and used without my permission. It was impossible for them make the cupcake to look like mine, because they did not make the cupcakes in the picture. My cupcakes are delicious cotton candy flavored..from the cake batter, to the icing, to the cotton candy on top. It’s a shame that they stole my picture, and basically ripped off all the patrons that purchased cupcakes at the event. False advertising at its finest!
I apologize for the late reply.
That is extremely unfortunate, because I believe that the original Cotton Candy Cupcake would have been beautiful! Perhaps you should have a word with these Stampede vendors…but I hope to try it one day 🙂
