You’ve seen him in both cartoon and movie renditions swinging from one building to another, but trust me, you’ve never seen him like this.
An independent election candidate, a martial arts trainer and fitness consultant for the Mumbai police, Guarav Sharma a.k.a the “Indian Spider-Man” is representing his district in South Mumbai in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Wearing his red and blue Spider-Man costume, Guarav’s strategy for attaining voters is rather unique and unusual. Instead of campaigning from door to door, he scales buildings from window to window calling for voters to vote for him.
He has the chosen the window to be his election symbol and keeping true to it, he climbs buildings and knocks on people’s windows to grab their attention. He has definitely taken up the popular catch phrase “with great power, comes great responsibility “by running to conquer the poor sanitation system due to the various slums in Mumbai. In addition to this, he is also running to combat a way to uneducated kids growing up in the slums, if he gets elected.
Who knew that a comic superhero such as Spiderman would have a phenomenal global impact as big as this.
