Each year, Western Canada High School hosts Celebrate Western, a can’t-miss event held to raise funds for the school, especially the Arts, Music and Sports programs. Taking place in the Husky Atrium as a result of Husky’s partnership/sponsorship of the school, every turn offers a delight for the senses. Enjoy delectable refreshments and browse through the impressive items in the silent auction and visual art displays on the second floor. Delight in the main stage, which entertains an array of performances. From 7 p.m. – 10 p.m., immerse yourself in a student showcase of dance, drama, visual art, music of all genres (performed by individual students and school musical groups), and culinary arts.
Not only does Celebrate Western add to the arts and culture scene and exhibit student talent, its profits contribute to the betterment of the school community, benefitting all students. Last year, the event raised nearly $50,000 in just one night.
Tickets are $15 and are available at the door. The event will surely be an unforgettable night!
