With exams nearing, the pressure and stress that comes with them are magnified 10 times. I am sure most of us can all use a break, and what better way to get rid of stress and have some fun at the same time than ice skating?
The Calgary Olympic Oval is a top notch speed skating and sports facility that includes a 400m oval rink and 2 standard rinks in the middle used mainly for hockey. The oval rink is home to the ‘fastest ice’ in the world where speed skating records are set and broken. No wonder why many athletes and teams train and compete at the oval. The Olympic Oval is:
dedicated to the pursuit of excellence and health and wellness for all.
Admission for youth 6-15 years of age is $4, and for ages 16 and older it’s $6. On Mondays from 6:30PM-8:10 PM until March 15th, with a donation of food or money to the Calgary Food Bank, admission for skating is FREE! If ice and skates does not interest you, there is also a 110m running track that surrounds the oval rink for recreational running/jogging. Check out the rink schedule for the month for the public skating hours.
Have fun skating!
