The first sequel to last week’s playlist, today I bring you a compilation of some of my favourite soundtrack pieces of *fairly* recent years. These may be songs made famous by, recorded for or original to their respective films.
1. The Breakfast Club: Don’t You (Forget About Me) – Simple Minds
No movie soundtrack playlist could possibly be complete without the iconic closing track to the 1985 blockbuster.
2. School of Rock: School of Rock – The School of Rock Cast

School of Rock may just be my favourite movie ever and listening to Jack Black front this song makes me oh so happy.
3. Armageddon: I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing – Aerosmith
This Aerosmith power ballad is meaningful to me in more than one way.
4. Casino Royale: You Know My Name – Chris Cornell
Hailed as one of rock’s greatest frontmen, Chris Cornell powerfully delivers 2007’s Casino Royale title theme.
5. The DUFF: Favorite Record – Fall Out Boy

I genuinely like this song more than I like the film itself.
6. She’s The Man: Dirty Little Secret – The All American Rejects
This song has staying power and will never fail to remind me of Amanda Bynes before she let herself go.
7. The Fault In Our Stars: All Of The Stars – Ed Sheeran
It’s cliché, I know, but Ed Sheeran has the voice of an angel and deserved to make this list. So many TFIOS feels.
8. The Lion King: Hakuna Matata – The Cast of The Lion King

Hakuna Matata… What a wonderful phrase… Hakuna Matata… Ain’t no passing craze… You get my point.
