This past weekend (Canada Day) I had the fantastic opportunity of visiting Whitehorse, Yukon for the very first time. It was absolutely beautiful there and I couldn’t help but take hundreds of photos. It was also quite warm out, around 18°c, and I was wearing shorts the whole time. Here are some photos from my trip!
View from the airplane on the way to Whitehorse looking at Rocky Mountains
Landing at Whitehorse's cute little airport - only two baggage belts and a few gates
The Sun finally starts to set around 11 pm, but it's still very bright out. It never got dark.
Some beautiful cliffs are struck by the sunset's light - The Yukon has thousands of trails to walk on
Whitehorse's setup for the following day's Canada day activities!
Whitehorse's main street, reminded me a bit of Canmore's!
The Sourdough Rendezvous is a large historic festival of the Klondike days held annually in Whitehorse
The other side of the main street buildings had this beautiful historical image painted on them
Yukon's official flower - Fireweed
6:45 am and the sun was already way up in the sky!
If anyone gets the chance to go up to the Yukon I strongly recommend it. It was amazing and I wasn’t there for nearly as long as I’d have liked to be (only a day or two). Hopefully I will return soon!

I like your photos, esp the one of the territorial flower, purple fireweed. the Yukon River one is beautiful too. So glad you could come! have you got pics of all the other territories and provinces you’ve visited?
I don’t have any from newfoundland, ontario, or sasketchewan not sure why.
