The night was calm; however, through the serenity of night, there I lay dreaming an erratic dream. My dream was unintentionally inspired by The Walking Dead and my yearning to see The Shining. I was the heroine of an isolated hotel, rescuing the inhabitants from man-eating zombies. Then suddenly, Superman appeared in his signature ostentatious manner to save the day, otherwise possibly conceived as stealing my thunder. Surely, this dream is of no relevance to your imagination, but to my unconscious state this dream made perfect sense. I believe we, as human beings all have our own experiences with this phenomenon of dreaming. But are you ever curious as to why we have our outrageous or lucid dreams?
Here is a video that gives a brief explanation behind the ‘reasoning’ of dreams. The video is also from one of my favorite ‘science-esque’ YouTube channels, Vsauce.
Sometimes our dreams become so fascinating that we cannot help but to drift further away from our conscious reality (just as in the epic theory within Inception). Don’t you wish of a day that will arise, where we can record our dreams? It would be remarkable if I could record my dream, like the one above. That way I could someday replay it and reflect upon the footage like a film. Some of you may think this is impossible, but do not give up on Science so soon.

I hope these videos have allowed many of you to peer into the dimension of man-kind’s unconscious imagination that is defined as dreams. No matter how many savage zombies, horror film reprises and heroes that may appear, our dreams are a brilliant and individualistic output that will always maintain a certain enigma that even science will not be able to solve.
