How To Glow-Up During Quarantine

If you’re reading this in 2020, you would probably know that we have been struck with a pandemic called “COVID-19.” The government is urging us to stay home, wash our hands frequently, avoid touching our faces and social distance. Quarantining helps limit the spread of this contagious disease and serves to protect everyone. Though, the COVID-19 pandemic doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere anytime soon. But instead of scrolling and clicking your life away, let’s use this free time to better ourselves! How to glow-up!

     ♡ What IS A Glow-Up?

A glow-up is the complete transformation of a person’s appearance for the better. The glow-up process focuses on the improvement of physical appearance, personality, style, overall attractiveness and maturity.

     ♡ Workout

Yes, I know. Your lack of motivation is keeping you from working out. But if you really wanted that desired body, you would work for it! Working out has many health benefits. It’s good for your body, strengthening your muscles, boosting endurance and helps your circulatory and respiratory system work more efficiently! Plus, the outcome is what you’ve been hoping/working for! 🙂

     ♡ Drink Lots Of Water

Along with exercising, drinking lots of healthy fluids is great for your body. It promotes cardiovascular health, keeps muscles and joints working, and helps remove toxins from your body. Staying hydrated also helps relieve headaches, and promotes healthy, glowing skin. If you don’t like plain water, that’s fine! Try incorporating fruit.

     ♡ Eat Healthier

Some people don’t eat healthy whether it may be because of the price, taste or having to scrap some of our favourite foods. Just keep in mind that healthy eating has many amazing benefits. Eating healthy can help with weight loss, reducing cancer risk, improve your immune system and have stronger bones. People also say that it leaves you feeling much better than you did before.

     ♡ Exfoliate

Exfoliating, yes I know, it sounds so unnecessary. But you’re wrong, exfoliating is extremely good for your skin! Exfoliating helps remove dead and dulling skin cells. It also helps speed up your skin’s process, helps it to behave younger, unclogs pores, prevents acne, evens skin tone, prevents acne and boosts lymphatic drainage and circulation! As you can see, exfoliation isn’t unnecessary and is actually really helpful and good for your skin! Though, if you do it to often, it can cause inflammation and loss of hydration. To avoid this exfoliate at least two to three times each week, as long as your skin reacts well to it.

     ♡ Be Confident

For many teens or young girls, this is quite a challenge. “Just be confident.” It isn’t that easy, and those remarks don’t help at all. If you see yourself as unattractive you’re wrong, you’re beautiful. You just aren’t your type. But to someone else, you may be the prettiest person they have ever laid their eyes on. To be confident, try improving your posture and repeat encouraging words to yourself every day. Try surrounding yourself with people who are positive and support you, and most importantly set achievable goals, if you’ve accomplished them, treat yourself! 😀

Stay happy, healthy and beautiful 🙂
