No need to say goodbye (Dean’s playlist)

Even if it is a couple of days past Remembrance Day, there was never a rule that said we still couldn’t remember the brave men and women that fought for this country after Remembrance Day. Their battles, their sacrifices, it continues long past this day, and as the children that your father, mother, and their parents before them have fought for, it would do them a lot if we always kept their noble honours with us today, tomorrow, and forever. I was going through my playlist for a song worth honoring these brave soldiers, and I was fortunate enough to find one. Instead of the humour and jokes I usually deliver in my posts, this will be a nice change-up as I present The Call from Regina Spektor as my song to honor Canada’s heroes of the past, present and future. Take a listen to the original one by Regina Spektor and check out the cover of this beautiful song covered by the Poppy Girls and remember this: there is such a thing as a hero. They do exist. They join their brothers and sisters to defend this country. They join other heroes to protect you.
