Exam season is here, and most people are becoming infected with a flu that no vaccination will prevent. Feelings of hopelessness or becoming tired of studying are the usual symptoms for the exam season blues. We’ve all been there at some point, and it’s not fun. (That’s probably why you’re reading this instead of studying, no?) Well, cheer up, buttercup. Today I have some of my favourite quotes that get me through the bumps and rough patches when I’m feeling extremely unproductive.
“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” – Confucius
“If you don’t have confidence, you’ll always find a way to not win.” – Lewis Carol
“I don’t believe you have to be better than everybody else. I believe you have to be better than you ever thought you could be.” – Ken Venturi
“Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.” – Joshua J. Marine
“Even if you fall on your face, you’re still moving forward.” – Victor Kiam
“Either you run the day or the day runs you.” – Jim Rohn
“Next to trying and winning, the best thing is trying and failing.” – Lucy M. Montgomery
“You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.” – Christopher Columbus
“Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” – Theodore Roosevelt
“You can’t fall if you don’t climb. But there’s no joy in living your whole life on the ground.” – Unknown
“If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.” – Tony Robbins
“Remember no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
“The question isn’t who is going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me.” – Ayn Rand
“When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.” – Henry Ford
“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing. That’s why we recommend it daily.” – Zig Ziglar
Life can be hard sometimes, but life wouldn’t be interesting if it was always easy. The most important lesson is to keep going, and that applies to anything in life. Although it may not seem like it some days, the world goes on, and you’ll want to be there for it.
