Summer will be officially over by the end of this week and autumn will be here in the blink of an eye. Traditionally, autumn is all about browns such as “Scores a goal!” by OPI or the dark sophisticated red such as “dress to kilt” by Essie. But this autumn, why not try something new, something outside of the ordinary?
Don’t be afraid to stand out, choose whatever style that fits for you!
Miss glamorous:
What do women love best of all gems? DIAMONDS! Recently, I found out a line of nail polish designed by OPI that is just super duper gorgeous! The Designer Series is a limited edition line which is an innovational step in the nail polish industry, created using raw granite granules, giving the nail a sparkle from every angle. In addition, you don’t even have to worry about the granules scraping the nails because the granules are so small, the nail polish will not be abrasive against the nail bed if a layer is base coat is applied. Who doesn’t like shiny nails?
For the autumn season, I recommend the color- DS extravagance (DS026)
Miss chic:
Although the summer dresses and the sandals are going back into the closet, no one says you can’t express your bubbly and cute personality through a glossy coat of nail polish. Go for a spring color this autumn, and match it with your favourite sweater and jeans. For a sweater with a light color such as white or yellow, brush on a nude color (tart deco by Essie) or a super pigmented contrasting shade (style cartel by Essie). For a sweater with a dark color like cobalt blue, brush on colors such as “allure by Essie” or “My Voice Is A Little Norse by OPI”to either contrast or match your fashionable and warm clothing. And don’t forget, the stripes and geometric patterns created using these shades can also add on to the chic-ness!!<3
Personally, I recommend the color “Kiss Me At Midnight by OPI” which is a lustrous blue full of sparkles.
Miss professional:
Have a job where there is always a super strict fashion police? Don’t worry, there are always autumn colors that will match both your “fun” clothes and your “work” clothes perfectly. This season, natural beauty is in style. Even Marc Jacobs sent his models onto the runway with little or no makeup. Following this trend, French manicures on medium length nails will give you a sense sophistication, but it will still be appropriate for whatever you do. Also, remember the pinks and the reds are always in season; even Vera Wang used them for her Fall/Winter 2014-2015 collections.
For a lady with a career, I recommend the midnight french manicure that replaces the normal nude and white with a coat of matte black nail polish and a stripe of silver at the tip.
So, what is YOUR fall colour?
