1382993167802_DSC_0281Yes, I am fully aware it isn’t even December yet. But many houses are already lit up with christmas lights, so I say… ‘Tis the season! Not only to be jolly, but to go to the Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market.

Become immersed in the sound of Christmas carols, the smell of hot cocoa, the taste of international food, the sight of fuzzy-antlered reindeer and the feel of pure joy. Go ahead and say I’m exaggerating, but really there’s no way to find out unless you experience it all for yourself.

At The Spice Cabinet, you can sample hot chocolate flavours ranging from gingerbread to banana cream. Buy a pair of unbelievably cozy slippers at Pasu Farms. Jewellery, clothing, baking, crafts, tea, glassware, ornaments, carvings, nail polish, pet treats, toys; there’s something for everyone on your list. Skip the hectic malls, and check off your shopping list while welcoming the Christmas spirit.

The market runs for three weekends this year, one of which has already come and gone. So… put on your jacket and boots, and head on down. Here’s the times and dates for your convenience:

November 22: 10am – 8pm

November 23: 10am – 7pm

November 24: 10am – 5pm

November 29: 10am – 8pm

December 1: 10am – 7pm1382993080795_DSC_0318

December 2: 10am – 5pm

Entrance is just $10, and it’s free for those under 13 or over 64, so don’t make excuses. Just go. You will be amazed. Even if you don’t buy anything, you can see real reindeer, listen to carollers, watch dancers, pig-out on samples, and just soak in the holiday spirit.
