Although it seems like New Years and Christmas are left behind by people already, but hey gift-wrapping and bows are not only for holidays (and Valentine’s Day is less than a month away)! In this tutorial, I will show you how to make these tiny cute multi-layer bows with a fork.
You will need:
-thin, soft ribbons (preferably 2 colors)
-a fork
-something you want to decorate with the bows =)
Step 1: Wrap one piece of ribbon around each tooth of fork like this.
(Ideally the ribbon should be narrower and softer than the one I am using, but this is all I have)
Step 2: Keep wrapping around each tooth until it looks like this.
This step determines how many layers of bows you are going to have.
Step 3: Run another piece of ribbon through the middle and make a tight knot.
Step 4: Remove ribbons from the fork and ta-daa! Here’s your multi-layer bow.
Step 5: Trim as desired.
Ok I know red and blue are not the most perfectly matched colors but I want to use two different colors to demonstrate more clearly…so here is another one I made.
Step 6: Use it to make something look cute? haha=D
This is it!
Show some appreciation to people around you and good luck=)
Oh wow – I’ve never seen a tutorial like this! What a sweet idea to make tiny bows. Thanks for sharing, Suzie!
