Now that the weather is warming up, it’s time to go outside to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. Or stay inside and protect yourself from the harsh, bright rays. Either way, here’s a list of things you can do this summer because you’re probably reading this if you’re bored.
- Go outside and enjoy the nice weather. Or get soaked in the rain. The summer weather won’t last for long.
- Inform yourself on the dangers of UV rays. Did you know that a single blistering sunburn doubles your chances of getting melanoma?
- Clean your room.
- Find out about the resources available at your local library.
- Start learning a new language.
- Observe a ladybug crawling around.
- Learn to cook a new meal.
- Go someplace you always walk past but have never visited before.
- Make an aeolian harp.
- Read a book that isn’t the genre you usually read.
- Go on google maps and explore a place on the other side of the world.
- Make or refill your first aid kit.
- Do some origami.
- See how fast you can run.
- Volunteer.
- Write an essay about ambition.
- Swim.
- Learn the choreography to a dance.
- Memorize Mercutio’s Queen Mab speech from Romeo and Juliet (act 1, scene 4). You never know when it might come in handy.
- Drink water. Don’t get dehydrated.
Have fun and stay safe!
