The summer is halfway over, and most people are looking for something to do. Why not go out and volunteer? It looks great on the resume, you get to meet new people, and there’s always food or t-shirts or something for volunteers!
Click here and find all of the cool projects CYFC has for volunteers to go to. It’s so easy to volunteer here; you just have to sign up for a project online, let a team leader call you and tell you where to meet, and show up!
Some of the great projects going on that you can sign up for right now include:
Shakespeare in the Park: This is the chillest project ever! You have to help set up and hand out programs, and then get to sit down and enjoy the show! It’s an awesome project. It’s going on all summer from 6-9:30 pm at Prince’s Island Park! Some of the days are already full, so sign up quick!
Fringe Festival 2010: This is a fantastic arts festival with tons of performances from great artists. You can volunteer here as well as a Fringe Ambassador! You would help with set-up, walk around with ballot boxes, and more! For more info on the Fringe Festival, check out this YAA Post!
Bethany Care Centre Recreation Night 2010: This is just a fun event for the residents of Bethany Care Centre, and volunteers get to help out and participate in the activities!
Other projects include the Marda Gras Festival, Clothes Sorting at the Drop In, Heritage Day, and many more! So visit the CYFC website to sign up for some projects to have some fun and build your volunteer hours!
