Best Cartoon Network shows

I’m sure if you were born in the 90s, you have watched at least one Cartoon Network show. Looking back at these shows really bring back great childhood memories that I shared with my family, and friends. It’s never too late to catch up on those shows again in your free time.

1.. THE POWERPUFF GIRLS

The Powerpuff Girls are one of Cartoon Network’s most successful show ever. I can clearly remember everything about this show. One of my childhood birthdays were actually celebrated with a powerpuff girls theme, and let me tell you it was AWESOME! I can still remember Mojo Jojo, Bubbles, Buttercup, and Blossom clearly. If you didn’t watch this show growing up, I think you’ve really missed out.

2. DEXTER’S LABORATORY

Dexter’s Laboratory was mostly filled with, “OOOOO… What does this button do?” Dexter wasn’t the main focal point for me though. I thoroughly enjoyed Dee Dee. I felt that she gave that extra boost of awesomeness to that show, although I loved Dexter as a boy genius with his amazing Russian accent. He had his own secret laboratory, which I sure wish I had when I was a kid!

3. THE GRIM ADVENTURES OF BILLY AND MANDY

This show was like birthday cake: it was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that Billy and Mandy contrasted each other so well. They never really showed how they became friends but it’s a cartoon, anything can happen. I did have pity for good old Grim at times though.

  1. Anayat,

As for the second item in your top three Cartoon Network shows–Dexter’s Laboratory, to be exact–It is my most favorite comedic cartoon of all time, while Samurai Jack is my most favorite action cartoon of all time.

I, Timothy, have always wanted to make something of a multi-part, Lord of the Rings-style, dinosaur-infused, big screen, live action/animated cartoon epic. My actual attempt to do so–Dexter’s Odyssey, to be based loosely on characters from Dexter’s Laboratory, a kids cartoon show from the mid-to-late 1990s–itself an obscure time for America before the 9/11 attacks in 2001–might result in one of, or if not, the biggest, most ambitious and most complex epic motion picture film production project ever undertaken in cinematic history–apart from Lord of the Rings and James Cameron’s Avatar, of course–a live action/animated cartoon big screen movie so long and epic in scale, scope and grandeur, that the resulting epic story might only be told in twelve parts or less that would nonetheless be made more or less back-to-back (with live action possibly to be filmed in both Panavision ‘scope widescreen and IMAX).

Here’s a teaser of the plot that I might work on:

“As the clouds of war slowly gather in an alternate world where dinosaurs roam still and cartoon characters are real beings who co-exist side-by-side with flesh-and-blood humans, Dexter, a young cartoon boy genius, must put aside his arrogance, end his feud with his older sister Dee Dee, and band together with Dee Dee and her friends Mee Mee and Lee Lee on a very long walk, or more accurately, an epic Lord of the Rings-style quest, in order for Dee Dee’s friend Lee Lee to stop the evil Mandark from attempting to enslave their world–and the epic journey of Dexter, Dee Dee, Mee Mee and Lee Lee–spanning sixteen years and thirty-two days–will be beyond anything that anyone else can normally, and possibly imagine.”

My apologies for such a long comment, but if it happens, then Dexter’s Odyssey is going to be very epic in scale, scope, and grandeur, and possibly good or great, or would it, Anayat?

    –Tim
