A battle of the Super Bowl commercials

Yeah, yeah, the Patriots won the Super Bowl this year (can you tell I’m a West Coast fan?), but as usual, the day was more than the ultimate battle of football. The game comprised of an expected, dazzling half-time show courtesy of Katy Perry, and the illustrious Super Bowl time spot filled with a wondrous array of commercials. But this year, it seemed that the Super Bowl commercials enticed an additional war of emotions off the field. Yes, emotion is an effective tool that advertisers manipulate, but in 2015, we were exposed to a lost puppy, a PSA for domestic violence, an expected effort by Coca Cola to make the world a better place, the struggles of a #InvisibleMindy, and of course, Kim Kardashian’s desperate plea to save our data.
