Banksy ~ Influencing the Social Climate for Change

And so they tell us, be grateful that you live in a world of freedom. But what exactly defines our freedom? And how precious is freedom, if our voices are being suppressed by the amount of money in our bank accounts or number of degrees associated with our names? What good is liberalism, if we are drowning in such a self-obsessed world?

And in our efforts to be heard, we are often times silenced. Why? Because we cause mayhem within society. ‘Hush Hush, file a complaint and we will deal with it,’ or ‘we don’t have the money or time to listen to you right now.’  Irrelevant we are told, we are known to be complainers, leaches, those socialists, and the attention-seeking.
But hey, maybe if you actually listened to us, you’d understand.
Too bad you don’t.

Here’s to Banksy and his efforts to create social reform.
Here’s to an artist, fighting against the constraints of conformity and the limits of our Freedom to Express.

Thank you for inspiring the rest of us to raise our voices.
