Recently, on my trip to Dubai, I had the pleasure of watching the sunset from the tallest building in the world. Spectacular could not even cover it.
Burj Khalifa, a skyscraper in Dubai, is the tallest manmade structure in the world. At a staggering 839.8 m, it gives a 360 degree view of Dubai from all angles and sides. It also holds the record of the building with the most floors. Its 163 floors easily topped that of its predecessor, which was the World Trade Center at 110 floors.
Not only is the Burj Khalifa a reflection of Dubai and its complex architecture, it is arguably one of the greatest feats of mankind and represents our determination to grow and expand our horizons. But there are many other projects currently trying to receive the title that the Burj Khalifa has held for the last few years. One of the most notable of them is the Kingdom Tower, currently in construction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It will stand at 1,000 meters. Imagine that!
