Are you worried about the lack of services available in our city? This includes the availability of firefighters and policeman. Alderman Gord Lowe is absolutely flustered on the decisions being made in our city. What happened to listening to the people, the ones who make up our city? According to the “Our Budget. Our City. Our Future.” consultations, the results ended up being that the majority of people wanted continued or improved services for the City of Calgary. This means having more policeman and firefighters available to the citizens in cases of emergencies.

However, even though Alderman Lowe was advocating for the citizens of Calgary, the plan backfired.  This was because City Council didn’t want to increase taxes. Do you agree with this decision? How many of you feel that these taxes aren’t being used for the right reasons. If the citizens of Calgary want more services available to them, then we should be able to receive this.

Originally the survey was posted to ask citizens what they wish to change. Did this decision just disappear? At the end of the day it all comes down to the citizens of Calgary. Do you feel the taxes should be raised and in return we are provided with more police and firefighters on our streets?
