Sweatcoin: Does It Actually Work?

Does Sweatcoin give people free money? Sweatcoin is a fitness app that rewards you for walking or running. It tracks your steps throughout the day and rewards you with 1 SWC for every 1,000 steps you make. The app rewards you with “Sweatcoins” or “SWC”, these coins can allow you to purchase in-app offers, or earn real money.

  • Do We Really Get Paid?

Sweatcoin doesn’t exactly “pay people” in the sense of giving them money. Though, it can, if you sell your Sweatcoins using the website or if you have enough SWCs to redeem $1000. It does pay you however, through giving you SWCs to spend on a variety offers in its marketplace. The marketplace is a shop in the app that has a variety of offers that can be redeemed by spending your Sweatcoins. These offers could be anything from discounts for clothing, food, exercise equipment, or sometimes Amazon credit. The app has a lot of amazing offers, but sometimes they may require a ridiculous amount of Sweatcoins. I believe that it is a great app because it encourages exercise/fitness and promotes smaller businesses or apps.

  • What Are The Offers?

A great approach to have bigger offers would be to refrain from spending your coins. Sweatcoin promotes amazing offers that require a lot of coins, most of the offers range from 13,000 to 20,000 SWC. Examples of this include: £1000/$1000 sent via PayPal, iPhone X’s, televisions and sometimes vacations! If you have had the app installed for a long time and you get a lot of steps, or transfer coins this could be achievable. On average, the smaller offers can range from 0 to 12 SWC and include: Discounts on amazon, earbuds, dog toys, protein shakes, meal kits and toiletries.

  • Is It A Scam?

Sweatcoin is not a scam, though it can be very misleading. When you first come across the app, you may think that they are paying you for every SWC you make when that is not the case. Otherwise, people have successfully purchased on their marketplace, went on trips and cashed out. The only thing I would highlight is that some people have complained about the accuracy of their tracking.
