Olympic Plaza, 11am-4pm

If you’re in the mood for a variety of fun activities including stage entertainment, photo booths, interactive displays and more, Olympic Plaza is the place to be on Canada Day. This year, there will beextra-special event celebrations for Harry the Horse’s 30th birthday, so be sure to come on out! Birthday cake will even be served to the first 2000 people at 1:30pm.

Fireworks presented by Hudson’s Bay

Centre Street Bridge, approximately 10:45pm

It just wouldn’t be Canada’s Day without the fireworks, would it? This year’s show is presented by Hudson’s Bay and will be synchronized to live music broadcasted on 101.5 Kool FM and 95.3 The Peak. Make sure you find a location along the Bow River corridor for a great view of the epic finale.

These are just a few of the events happening around YYC this Canada Day, so if you’re interested in seeing if there’s more happening in your part of the city, check out the full events list.
