It’s nearly summer, which means you’ll want to be anywhere but indoors.
If you love to skateboard or rollerblade, I’m sure you’ll be pumped to hear that community mobile skate parks will be popping up all over the city beginning later this month!
The mobile parks will be open from 1pm-8pm daily (except on Sundays at the leisure centres, when they’ll only be open until 6pm), so you’ll have plenty of time to ride the fun-boxes with rails, wall rides, pyramids with rails, quarter-pipes, and half pipes that these parks will offer.
Plus, access to the parks is absolutely, 100% FREE – which is way more than you can say for a lot of other summer activities.
Not really sure how to skateboard? The City of Calgary’s got you covered with lessons at the mobile skate parks starting at $40 for two days worth of lessons, and camps will be offered at Shaw Millennium Park!
If you’re a pro at skateboarding, there’ll be a bunch of competitions you can compete in, including the Mission Open – Skateboard Contest Series, with events happening all over the city.
For a complete list of where you can check out the mobile skateboard parks, see the poster above, visit the website, or call 3-1-1.
If you keep the info pouring in you will have tons more viewers coming to see what you have to write, thanks.
