…And now for a sad playlist

In recent weeks, my fellow bloggers Malika and Audrey have shared playlists that emulate happiness, an easy-going attitude and a certain letting go of inhibitions. Music is such a great outlet and playing upbeat music can cheer you up in nearly every situation or help you slip away from the world. However, being someone who embraces emotion, instead of always listening to cheerful music when I’m down, I tend to dig into the melancholy and sombre part of my music library. I think it brings me closer to what I’m feeling and can help me better understand what I’m going through instead of just throwing it under the mat. Ramblings aside, here’s just a snippet of my *very* long playlist of slow, soulful and sad songs.

Note: Most everything here is classic rock, alternative, alt-rock, indie, post-hardcore or punk-pop. Sorry, just my closed-minded and rather picky taste.hear you me
