So many of us already know about IB, but for those who don’t, please excuse me as I lift up the rock you have been living under. International Baccalaureate is an academically enriched and challenging program that presents rigorous and innovation provoking learning continuum of education. In other words, its a program that lets you know your limits of procrastination and the quality of work you can produce on an assignment that is done two hours before its due.
So here are few things that are pretty interesting about IB:
1.) 1,172,000 students take IB (you are not alone, my friend)
2.) If you are not doing IBDP (full IB), you have to pay a few hundred dollars to do CAS- 150 hours of Volunteer, Theory of Knowledge, extended essay (extended to 4,000 words)
3.) If you Google “IB interesting facts” right now, the third option is about National Puppy Day
4.) In 1980, some governments saw IB as a national threat (to their education system)
5.) Kim Jong-Un has a an IB Diploma Certificate: he is the supreme leader of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea also known as the dictator of North Korea
