Rex Murphy possesses the talent to gather up the threads of a news story and express his take on it in such an eloquent and conclusive manner that I find myself unable to add any further insight to the issue.
This past week he did it once again, and this time regarding the scandal surrounding the mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford. As amusing (although, a warning, also rather abrasive) as Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart’s focus on Ford’s reputation-damaging conduct is, Murphy simply handled the Ford scandal perhaps the way it should be: an unfortunate situation all around.
